Al Qaeda would consider the Imam of the proposed Mosque an apostate. This Imam is just as much an enemy of Al Qaeda as any American soldier. By opposing the Mosque, a person lumps Muslims into the same camp, not acknowledging the profound differences that exist among Muslims. This is stereotyping at its worst, counterproductive for our national security interests, and fans the flames of racism already ablaze in our nation.
