Quit dodging the debates, you scoundrel!

in response to reader comment: Debate? There is no longer a debate!

Actually, it is this reader comment that is completely wrong according to statistics, showing the author to be obviously in denial and unwilling to consider debate.

31,487 American scientists have signed this petition discrediting anthopoligical global warming, including 9,029 with PhDs http://www.petitionproject.org/.

1265 architectural and engineering professionals and 9129 other supporters including A&E students
have signed the petition demanding of Congress a truly independent investigation of 9/11 http://ae911truth.org.

Only 16% of Americans believe that the government is telling the truth on 911

Only 15% of American believe that man evolved without the help of God. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/10/22/opinion/polls/main965223.shtml

Yet on all of these issues, the author's comment denies debate based upon a false claim of consensus (which itself is not considered pertainant to true scientific debate anyway).

"Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled." - Michael Crighton
