It won't be those with more obvious authoritarian tendencies we have to worry about. Remember a recent president who said, If Congress won't act, I have a pen and I have a phone. Later on, he was slapped down 9-0 by the Supreme Court when he tried to usurp the Senate's power to say when it was in session and make illegal recess appointments. Little did we hear from the likes of Ben Brantley about those incidents.
