The headline assumes that bad results in 2018 implies bad results in 2019. A more accurate headline would be written in the past tense: "Investors HAD Nowhere to Hide as Stocks, Bonds and Commodities all TUMBLED." Similarly, the sentence "Stocks...and bonds are tumbling" should be "Stocks...and bonds TUMBLED".
