This story tells me that for decades Bloomberg had limited govt granted access to data gotten by govt through reporting imposed at gunpoint which he monetized bigly. When Obama tried similar Bloomberg lobbied and got it stopped to maintain his front runner status. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-economy-data-idUSKBN1ZD2NL
