True as what the article says.

But in Europe alone, VOLVO also has 3 or more plants - In Belgium, Sweden and another which I can't recalled. The size of CHINA is the size of the WHOLE EUROPE. Just because 3 municipal government want Geely to built VOLVO in their respective municipalities does not meant that it is inefficient. Perhaps it is initially because of initial lay-out costs. But if building the plants near where the consumers were (especially lots of them) , it pays to open-up a plant near your customers.

Currently car is the largest car markets. In not too distance a single region or province in China alone may out-sells many of VOLVO foreign markets or even regions.
