Poverty rate

The poverty rate for children is at its highest point in a generation. The top 1% as measured by wealth or income is doing better than ever. There is something seriously wrong with this situation.

And while wealth does dissipate over generations, the Rockefellers I know are still living quite well off the success of their Great, Great Grandfather.

Of course we can't all be above average, but we can all be above the poverty line, and in the richest country in the world we surely can afford a basic level of healthcare for everyone.
