Good riddance to "independence", found nowhere in the Constitution

Reader comment on: Biden Tries "You're Fired" on Social Security Chief, Triggering Test of Power

Seems to me I used to hear a lot about "violating norms" in the not too distant past. Before this I found it amusing that the left was always "normalizing" ideas and behaviors once considered odd in the spirit of liberation from "norms" but hated when Republicans did it. Well, they have just liberated the unitary executive by violating a political "norm". FTC, SEC, FCC commissioners have been doing the bidding of administrations for decades -- now we know we should not consider them independent any more, which is just as well and better for accountability. So if you don't like their actions, blame the incumbent president responsible for all of it. He's just admitted he's responsible. Maybe they can meet in the White House on the public schedule and the press could ask about it (good luck to that when the President is a Democrat). Does this include the Fed? I hope so.
