NYT double standards

Reader comment on: The Times on Inside Information

NYT editorial on the leak of 'Climategate' documents: "The documents appear to have been acquired illegally and contain all manner of private information and statements that were never intended for the public eye, so they won't be posted here."

NYT editorial on the Wikileaks documents: "The articles published today and in coming days are based on thousands of United States embassy cables, the daily reports from the field intended for the eyes of senior policy makers in Washington....The Times believes that the documents serve an important public interest, illuminating the goals, successes, compromises and frustrations of American diplomacy in a way that other accounts cannot match."

Remember, this is the same Times that said, some time ago, that crime rates in NY were falling DESPITE the increasing number of people behind bars.

It is a long-established fact that the average SAT scores of students majoring in Education are among the lowest of all majors; I've been convinced for a long time that Journalism majors are, at best, just slightly above the Education majors.
