Old Testament indeed...

Reader comment on: Gail Collins on Joe Lieberman

I sometimes find Gail to be a bit tiresome, but then you seem to be tiresome as well..so perhaps this is just a professional hazard of political punditry, like eczema is for hair-dressers. Joe Lieberman has never professed a religious affiliation to anything but the Jewish faith, so of course it would be the Old Testament after all, er...wouldn't it? And where else would one find the phrase to which Gail refers but in Ecclesiastes 3, at the heart of the same book of the Bible. My point is: what's your point?...unless you haven't one and are just being argumentative - in which case, how novel and unenlightening. But wait...you wouldn't be insinuating that Ms. Collins finds Joe irritating because she finds him to be Jewish, er...would you? How unenlightened and silly indeed.
