To me a major reason to be less interested in church is how politically correct at least the Episcopal church has become. One doesn't go to church to hear some virtue signaling priest or bishop. Instead of reparations the church should for example be thinking about how to save children from the horrible public schools and giving them a religion that will support them through their lives.
