You state that the Senate bill will only "cover people who now have no insurance at all." However, I read reports the bill will allow people between ages 55 and 64 to buy into Medicare if they could not get affordable coverage through work. This opens the door to join Medicare to anyone between 55 and 64 who claims that they could not get "affordable" coverage. My guess is that most citizens, eyeing the choice of cheap subsidized Medicare coverage, would consider their insurance unaffordable and a mammoth expansion of Medicare would ensue.
