So this endorses free riding because to some extent someone who does not have insurance is going to get treated in the emergency room and afterwards, putting the cost on others, the alternative is to go back to the old days no insurance, just give em morphine and let god decide. The current system puts a cost on the rest of society for those who engage in free riding.
