As an adjunct faculty member in a couple of Massachusetts universities, I either bite my tongue when political comments are made, assuming everyone subscribes to the liberal orthodoxy or I get into debates. (Depends on who made the comment and how much time I have.) I even had a coke thrown on my car at Babson College because (I believe) I had a window sticker that read "1-20-13".
