City Economics in HoustonReader comment on: Triumph of the City Submitted by Sean (United States), Feb 15, 2011 00:22 Houston's Zoning laws are interesting. It's certainly interesting to see Dense Residential areas sprouting next to commercial areas. I think, though, what aids Houston more than some other U.S. cities is that Houston has the capability to annex land as needed under Texas law, without the major limitations that prevent, say, Chicago, from expanding. I'm really interested in what he has to say about Houston, being a resident and all. I know that seems an odd focus, but I've felt a lot of our ideas needed more advertisement. It seems to me that Houston is a bit under-rated on the world stage. Note: Comments are moderated by the editor and are subject to editing. Other reader comments on this item
