There are countless examples. I tend to stay away from them, where reasonably possible - and it's become hard to find alternatives on a lot of products. I see stories like your (churches more so) that are taking on a broader scope. Point being, the totalitarian attitude is more prolific than I would have guessed; it's everywhere and always.
