Government regulation is not the answer

Government should not control the prices that private entities can charge. That should not at all be the role of Government. If Visa and Mastercard is charging too much there will be a competitor that will emerge and capitalize on the opportunity. If consumers find it too costly to pay with debit and credit cards they would chose cash instead. The fact that Government is trying to regulate everything is at the root of all of our monetary, economic, and budget problems.
