Your arguments defending the GE tax rateReader comment on: GE's Taxes Submitted by angelo minuti (United States), Mar 28, 2011 20:34 You use 2 arguments for defending GEs position on not paying tax rates that are totally inane. First, non-profits do not pay taxes because they do not affect the public in terms of jobs and creating wages for the top echelons of the executives who run corporations like GE. Second, I would imagine that the officers themselves find loopholes thru the company's tax department. This country is facing a huge budget deficit. I am sure that you are one of those who thinks we have to cut back on entitlements like Medicare and , Social Security . What about corporate entitlements? I suggest that we have a VAT and flat tax rate for everybody both at the same time and remove all loopholes in our tax structure.
