Big Government IS the problem

I find it amazing that there is almost no discussion of the total size of government. David Gergen is doing a service by discussing it. The facts are frightening.

Americans for Tax Reform publishes their annual "Cost of Government Day" report. For FY 2010 they found that government (federal, state, local) spending is 43% of GDP, and government regulations eat up another 20% of GDP each year.

Clearly government is way too big. Clearly the founding fathers would be appalled.
