The problem with ideologues (I am one often and try my best to avoid this - reading this blog is part of my self medication) is that they fit any facts to fit the ideology. When the facts don't work, the either ignore them or change them, or cherry pick others that might help make one's narrative make sense. Clinton's boom was really a result of George H.W. Bush raising taxes, setting Clinton up for a time when he could wisely spend the revenue raised which had a multiplier effect in the economy. See, that was easy.
