Link work and reward

I couldn't agree more that we need to link hard work and reward, be it monetary, spiritual or anything else. My problem is that in our current society, so many of those who work the hardest (as defined by hours, workplace conditions, task) get paid the least, and many of those who sit in a comfy office on Wall Street staring at computer screens in plush offices (and often not even working terribly long hours!) and gambling with someone else's money get paid the most. This is not a system that encourages prudence, restraint and industry.
