It happens to every company when they reach a size, that their growth slows, look at Microsoft, for a while it exhibited rapid growth, but now has slowed down. Of course only when you are large do you have the stroke to change things, for example the detergent issue, only because of its size is Wal-Mart able to dictate the changes. The same thing happened to Sears when it got big in the past it for a while was 1% of the US GDP alone, so it could and did dictate. Then of course it got screwed up and for various reasons shrank back to normal size.
