Realistically he has index funds and treasuries as options

Reader comment on: Obama's T-Bills

Due to apparent conflicts of interest the president can't own individual stocks, so he has total stock market and the like index funds as an option. Now the first question to ask is Obama managing his money or is a blind trust? He is probably getting little income from the treasury securities as they yield so little. In any case he is above 250k a year and admits it, if you combine the 400k for his salary with book royalties, so he is clearly in the high income class by his definition.

It doesn't appear to be a blind trust. If it were really "blind," what would the conflict be in his having individual stocks if he didn't know he had them?
