Capitalism not requiring sacrifice?

Reader comment on: Sacrifice and Self-Interest

On the contrary -- capitalism does and indeed usually requires sacrifice. Only the sacrifice involved ought to be the capitalist's own voluntary sacrifice. An entrepreneur sacrifices safety and money in pursuing an enterprise that may or may not work and which other's may not believe in. And he/she lives with the consequences of failure. An admirable thing.

The sacrifice politicians like to talk about is usually someone else's. Enforced by the force of government.
