Reader comment on: Obama Lunches With Dimon, Tillerson

Submitted by ben (United States), Jan 28, 2010 10:17

Obama made plain his desire to talk with people, be they the leaders in Iran or the CEOs of major corporations. It couldn't have been too much of a secret if it showed up in this blog the next day. As an Obama supporter, I don't see any problem with him speaking with anyone. What worries me is if his actions then reflect the arguments that Exxon and Chase made to him. With the bank tax and cap and trade still being in the mix, it doesn't seem as though Dimon and Tillerson were all that influential. This post assumes that because they had lunch together that Obama was betraying his ideals in some way, but there is not evidence of this, quite the contrary.
