"ASKING" for moneyReader comment on: Obama's False Choices Submitted by Fast Eddie (United States), Jul 22, 2011 19:29 Mr. Stoll, please PLEASE stop using the word "ask" in references to raising taxes. Bill Clinton was the first heavy user of that whopper and Obama has unfortunately picked up on it. When the govt wants more tax revenue, it demands it at the end of a gun barrel. You can't say to NO to their request and not risk fines and/or jail. Everybody (I hope) already knows this, but the ridiculous "ask" continues to be used instead of the more accurate term, i.e., "demand."
