Note that if anyone knew how the real world worked and the importance of smoke filled rooms to getting things done they would have known that the one week idea is about as good as the view of how government is conducted taught in high school civics, and the view of US history taught in high school. Both are pure mythology.

On the specific point if you had listened, you would have heard that the deficit over the next ten years was going to be x and the deal would cut y. It was in the media.
