When he was finance minister in the government of Ariel Sharon (in 2003) Netanyahu implemented some unpopular reforms. He was the face of the enemy in ads from the Histradut Israel's national labour union. Despite this, he didn't back down. I'm not convinced that he will necessarily follow the path Amotz Asa-El predicts.
