Why are all the nominees from tech and bio-tech?

Seems very lopsided. For example, in the Boston area, Gillette, now a part of P&G, is still a major employer, and its razors are still far and away the most widely used in the world. Yet King Gillette is left off the list.

And isn't Genentech still a very young company? I would prefer to see nominees included posthumously by convention, if only to ensure that flash-in-the-pan companies/entreperneurs are excluded.
