If you ever shop high priced hotels for conference services these are in the range. Pehaps a new rule that gov folks can only attend conferences in Des Moines, Little Rock, Lubbock, Salt Lake and the like is needed. No conferences in NY, Washington, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and the like. Make the conferences in less desirable cities.
