it was too bloody late to do anything about it. it was going down, and there are investigations going forward about this. somebopdy going to be put in the vise of the law. but this is just a red herring to throw at paulson. read the book. every minute was crisis, crisis, crisis. SEC investigations acctg take months, years to resolve. it's nonsense.
