If Senator Durbin really wanted to help free market processes, he wouldn't have tried to limit swipe fees. Instead, he could have worked to make it legal for companies to discriminate based on method of payment. Gas stations can give cash discounts (which really means the swipe fee cost is passed onto consumers). So, let companies charge more if consumers want to use a debit (or credit) card.

Now that would screw BoA -- using the power of the market.
