Let's Hope

Reader comment on: Yale's Hacker on Carried Interest

Submitted by John Gillis (United States), Dec 23, 2011 17:13

Let's hope that more "smart" rich people will start to realize that Yale and Harvard can be toxic to impressionable young minds that haven't yet attained for themselves an adequate moral and practical compass.

But that hope is actually very slight, because if such smart rich people had done a good job of imparting a rich and deep moral and practical compass in their offspring, they would probably be immune to the intellectual evils of such institutions of higher learning, and could just go there and enjoy the good parts, and have the bad stuff roll off their backs.
