This misses the hypocrisy

Reader comment on: Republicans Oppose Stimulus, Ask for Money

Submitted by ben (United States), Feb 22, 2010 11:07

The hypocrisy isn't that congressmen who voted against it then get the money, the hypocrisy occurs when the congressmen TAKE CREDIT for getting the money when in fact they voted against it. Also, perhaps more blatant but less commented upon is the hypocrisy of Republicans who say the stimulus created zero jobs and then say the money from the stimulus in THEIR district created X number of jobs. You can't have it both ways. The stimulus either did, or did not create jobs. Are there particular districts so special that the stimulus works in rural Tennessee, but not Montana?
