Professional athletics is far from an exact science, and there is still much that is not understood in economics. However, making the argument that because we have trouble picking a super bowl winner means that experts on Climate are not able to say that global warming is real devalues the views of any expert. I realize you did not write this, and likely don't think it, but that anti-intellectualism of the far right knows no bounds. By painting with a broad brush and brushing off the wisdom of all experts just because a few were wrong, in cherry picked cases, does not strike me as being so persuasive an argument.
