There must be guidelines (regulations) to how the game is played so that no firm can achieve a monopoly, or peddle products using false and misleading advertising. I agree with the video that subsidies and corporate giveaways do more harm than good, that we should just tax behaviors we want to discourage (carbon consumption, cigarettes etc) and let the free market sort out the winners and losers among the market players.
