why goldman?

Because all of wall street behaves the same way, they have no fiduciary duty to their clients, they can shaft them as much as they want to. It was interesting that when the concept of brokers becoming fiduciaries during the Dodd Frank discussions, wall street objected that the world would end if that where to happen. (Actually it might make brokers pure order takers non salesmen which IMHO would be a good thing, since the company often asks the brokers to peddle the toxic junk they have on hand).
