If There's Stupider Idea Than Student Internships at the C.I.A., I'd Like To Know What It Is

Reader comment on: CIA Student Internships

I just checked the CIA's web site and, mirabile dictu, there actually is an undergraduate student internship program at the Central Intelligence Agency: https://www.cia.gov/careers/student-opportunities/index.html

Why would I, an American citizen, want any college student or graduate student, law student or medical school student to have an internship at the Central Intelligence Agency? Why not high school students? Doesn't the CIA make enough lethally dangerous mistakes with the post-collegiate people they've hired?

It's not as if there are any Top Secret activities or documents at the CIA.
