This is rivetingly fascinating. Apart from the vivid story itself, I send my compliments to the Editor of FutureOfCapitalism.com for one particularly elegant note. It was this phrase: "The Harvard Crimson, the student newspaper." Many an alumnus of that college would assume that all readers knew that the Crimson is the student newspaper at Harvard. It was a gracious touch to identify it for such readers as may visit this site who may not have been aware of its existence, and who would be grateful for these helpful three words.

It is to the credit of Derek Bok that he wrote to Mr. Cramer's mother to apologize for the rudeness of Alan Heimert.
