Reader comment on: Boeing's Bank

Submitted by Paul Reverance (United States), Mar 10, 2010 10:08

Carney doesn't bother to point out that the Bank doesn't get any taxpayer dollars, has sent billions to the Treasury in "profits" over the past 20 years, and that almost 90% of the transactions it approves are for small businesses. Oh, and by the way, Boeing's customers PAY for the loan guarantees that they receive, and the guarantees aren't subsidies at all. And the mission of the Bank? To help create and maintain the jobs of American workers. Too bad none of that made it into his column.
