Obama has not done a good job of communicating. Governing is more difficult than campaigning, something the Republicans are proving every day. The Republicans, in campaign mode, have no responsibility to get anything done (which is how they can vote against raising the debt limit and risk the US defaulting on its debt). What makes me optimistic about Obama is that he learns quickly. It wasn't until 18 months into the campaign for President that he realized how to campaign effectively. It seems as though in the past few weeks, probably since the meeting with the House Republicans in Maryland, Obama has become more effective at communicating (I have had this feeling before too). One cannot expect any person to step into the Presidency and immediately be "good" at it.
