And that goes back to his days running The Club for Growth, taking over for Steve Moore after his departure. Pat is a super person and informed politician.

However, if Romney picks anyone other than Marco Rubio he jeopardizes his chances of winning.

Rubio is also smart and a better campaigner - compare their public personas.

Then recognize that Rubio can lock up Florida AND the Latino vote, which will win the election for Romney.
