I agree that these measures would hurt, but what are other options we have? We can't force them to adjust their currency. I am not economics person, but wouldn't this actually benefit many of our other trading partners? Chinese competitors who don't fix their currency would suddenly be more competitive in selling their things in the US, no? It seems as though China is being treated to a double standard on trade that other nations are not afforded, this might help our relations with nations that are not fixing their currency.
