So easy to be critical

Reader comment on: The Health Care Farce

It is so easy to criticize the process and avoid the substance. We know most of what will be in the bill, it is the Senate version. The rest of the bill will be posted for 72 hours before the vote, giving everyone a chance to read it (at least the parts they haven't already read), and reflect on how they should vote. It will expand care to 31 million people. It will end many insurance company abuses. It will create competition - something free market types would theoretically like.

The joke is that hard working people in the richest country in the world do not have healthcare. The circus is what people go through trying to get their insurance company to pay for their care. The farce is that the opposition would have us believe that by doing nothing we retain the status quo. All this whining about process obscures the actual issues involved.
