Interesting that a place that lambastes rapacious businessmen has employees requiring union protection. Snide remark aside, does a union really serve the writing craft? Homogenaity isn't present. Some write more/better and get lumped with the plebian plodders. It all smacks of the problems that The Times keeps promoting as the solution. Hold back the gifted to serve the masses. Then play hardball and speak out of the other side of your mouth.
