Early in the previous election season Rolling Stone Magazine ran a hagiographic profile of the candidate titled "The radical roots of Barack Obama." (At some point they realized how damaging that title would be and changed the online title to "Destiny's Child.")

One point reported in that article was that Barack Obama chose Rev. Wright's church for its ideology. He felt it would give him the credibility he needed to begin his political career. The Times ought to lump "left wing cheerleaders" together with the "conservative critics."
