The big question people face is who do you trust least government or business? Clearly some distrust government more, but then others trust business less (insurance companies on health care, ExxonMobil on global warming, etc). All US institutions have shredded their credibility over the last few years, Wall Street, the Government and other businesses. Essentially that is the divide, the Republicans saying government is the least trustworthy, (partly brought about by their not paying for Bush's wars) and the Democrats saying that business is least trustworthy.
