For a person who has few skills, the idea that they can earn $40k or $50k a year is pretty wonderful. If American whites are never the ones to take such jobs, it probably shows that this country gives away so many freebies in various forms of welfare, that such folks have no reason to be motivated to get out and pick a peck.
