The UK is in danger, the whole Euro zone is in danger, China is not AAA yet, There may soon be no AAA countries just like there are almost no AAA companies left. If bond rating is a curve is it just that we have chopped the top of the tree off. Now this may well just mean that you want the safest you can find, but that nothing is absolutly safe. Also this may be Moody's et.al. trying to stop the Congress from cracking down on them.
