An excellent post, between the editor's pointed questioning of the basic economic ideas of Wilkinson and the good analysis afterward.

Mr. Wilkinson is clearly of a communistic mentality, and nothing you say seems to sway him from his basic Marxist attitude -- which always amounts to bringing everyone *down* to a lower common level of egalitarian status. He has absorbed the mindset of the communistic "Occupy Wall Street" crowd, or more likely had it already, and has adopted the "1%" mental set.
